Congratulations Luca on passing the Aptitude Colloqium !
Luca Ferrari qualified for the definitive admission to the ETH doctorate, by passing the Aptitude Colloqium on 27th November 2024.
Luca's research focuses on forecasting forest mortality by integrating remote sensing data at multiple scales. He aims to develop statistical and deep learning models to upscale existing mortality assessments, identify early warning signals, and provide high-resolution countrywide forest mortality forecasts to support forest management in Switzerland.
His PhD is part of the Sinergia UPSCALE project.
