Academic guest from Québéc, Canada

Welcome David Voyer!

David Voyer is a PhD student at Laval University, Canada. He is working on the quality and growth of sugar maple (Acer saccharum Marsh) at its northern limit. This project required extensive dendrochronological sampling across a large part of the species' distribution area. Other aspects of his project include understanding the growth dynamics of this species in relation to climate change, particularly with the increasing occurrence of late spring frosts and droughts. During his 3-month stay with the FORM group, he will enhance his understanding of these events on the growth of deciduous species, particularly in the European context.
