Welcome Olalla Díaz-Yáñez
We warmly welcome Olalla as senior researcher and deputy to the group !
With a PhD in Forest Sciences from the University of Eastern Finland, Olalla brings extensive experience to the field of forest management under risk. Her career includes positions at renowned institutions worldwide, including the US Forest Service in the USA, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Sweden, IUFRO in Austria, and the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Spain.
Olalla embarked on her journey with ETH in 2020 when she joined the Forest Ecology group. In January 2024, she joins the FORM group as senior researcher an deputy. Her primary focus lies in enhancing forest risk management strategies. Her research endeavors are centered on unraveling the dynamic nature of forests and understanding the impacts of management and risks on forest ecosystems.
