Welcome Mariam Matti
We warmly welcome Mariam Matti as subject matter expert (Scientific and Project Support) to the Forest Resources Management group!
Mariam Matti holds a M.Sc in International Forest Economy and Policy with a major in Forest Management from the Swedish University of Agriculture. She completed her Ph.D. in Natural Sciences at the University of Turku, Finland (her own project took place in Australia, Greece, Finland, and Sweden), with the main focus on the socio-ecological impacts of introduced species and human-wildlife conflicts and interactions.
She started her carrier in international forest monitoring and various research projects; worked 5 years with FSC; and was lately engaged as an international consultant within WWF, FAO and UNDP in various topics and locations globally.
Mariam will support the FORM group through day-to-day project management, planning and coordination.
